This is the second list of applicants so far to the Storm the Charts project with links to pages featuring streaming tracks - please join the group at http://bit.ly/chartstorm if you're on Facebook and invite your friends.

There have been some adjustments to this listing since voting opened and the up-to-date list of links can now be found on the voting website under 'All Bands'

Please help us make our final list sound as good as it can by voting in one of our randomised polls!

Links to the first 333 applicants can be found by going to our main livejournal page (there's a good chance that's exactly where you are now) and scrolling down past this entry.

The plan is to collect up to 1,000 applications (maximum) by March 23rd, choose 40 over ten weeks, and then see how many (if any) we can get in the top 40 in the same week in June. There will be a public vote system as well as a separate panel selection but this can't start until all the acts who applied are linked up here.

Half of the selection is going to be done by public vote, but you won't be asked to listen to the entire list unless you really want to - people will be asked to pick their favourites from groups of five.

We're doing this for the joy of it. "Storm the Charts" is not a business and no-one in the Facebook group's making any money out of it, apart from, hopefully if it really takes off and goes well, the artists themselves and/or their labels. If you submit your song for consideration then it's available for public comment and neither myself nor anyone else involved can take responsibility for comments made by others, which may be critical or disparaging - in this regard and with respect to any other consequences of the project application is made by artists at their own risk. What I'm saying is I can't help it if anyone doesn't like your music, and I'm doing this in my spare time... go easy on me ; )

If you want to support us, don't download these tracks yet. We all need to do it in the same week to have any chance of affecting any chart anywhere. But of course, you can support any artists you like in the meantime by purchasing their other tracks!
